SoloLedger Bookkeeping is a bookkeeping and evidence archive app by CloveCode Studio for solo business owners, freelancers, consultants, and independent operators. The app helps users record income and expenses, attach proof files, and export ledger packages.

Data We Process

The app processes data that users choose to enter or attach:

• Business profile details, such as business name, owner name, and base currency.
• Ledger entries, such as dates, amounts, categories, notes, tags, customers, and vendors.
• Proof files selected by the user, such as receipts, screenshots, PDFs, images, and documents.
• Optional Google account sign-in state used to enable cloud sync and bind Pro purchases to the signed-in app account.
• Subscription status required to unlock Pro features through Google Play Billing.

Local-First Storage

Ledger data is stored in the app database on the user's device. Proof files are encrypted before they are written to app-private storage. Android system cloud backup is disabled for app files and databases by default.

Optional Google Drive Sync

If the user signs in with Google and enables cloud sync, SoloLedger stores a copy of business profiles, ledger entries, and proof files in the user's Google Drive application data folder. This folder is hidden from the normal Google Drive user interface and is accessible only to SoloLedger through the user's Google Account authorization. The app requests the limited drive.appdata scope for this feature.

Proof files are decrypted locally before upload to Google Drive and are re-encrypted with the receiving device's Android Keystore when restored on another device. Cloud sync is optional; users can continue using local-only bookkeeping without signing in.

Sharing And Export

When the user exports a ledger package, the app creates a ZIP file containing the selected period's ledger, manifest, and proof files. The user controls where that package is shared or saved.

Purchases

The app uses Google Play Billing to process subscriptions. Google Play may process purchase and subscription information needed to complete and manage purchases. The app does not receive or store payment card numbers. Pro purchases require Google sign-in so the subscription can be associated with the signed-in app account using a one-way hashed account identifier.

Analytics, Ads, And Crash Reporting

This build does not include third-party analytics, advertising, or crash reporting SDKs.

No Tax Or Legal Advice

The app is a bookkeeping and evidence archive tool. It does not provide tax, legal, audit, or accounting advice and does not claim compliance with any specific country's tax filing system.

Data Retention And Deletion

Ledger entries and proof files remain on the user's device until the user deletes them or uninstalls the app. Users can delete ledger entries and proof files inside the app. Uninstalling the app removes local app data from the device.

Users who enabled Google Drive sync can delete cloud sync data from the app's Account and Sync settings.

Security

Proof files are encrypted before being stored in app-private storage. Optional cloud sync uses the user's Google Drive app data folder rather than a developer-operated ledger server.
